| OHCC LIVING | DECEMBER 2018 | 45 Commodore Ros welcomed 51 sailors to our Nov. 13, meeting. We always welcome new members aboard. She thanked everyone who attended our final party of the year – Nautical November on the 8th. We had a blast! As always, we enjoyed wonderful refreshments and thank Sue and Tom Porter for their delicious buffet. In addition, a special thank you to our adult beverage guy George Bush! We enjoyed one more sail for the year on the Dec. 20. Fall is a wonderful time to be out on the water in our gorgeous San Diego Bay. All had great time. This was our last meeting of the year. We have a very strong board for 2019. Our Treasure Evy SanFilippo and Secretary Sally Booth will continue to serve and we welcomed our new Vice Commodore Allan Paloutzian and our new Commodore Forrest Newburg. We presented our special 8 Bells Award to three members of our club. For crewing on the most sails this past year was Marc Beardsley. The First Mate on the most sails was Phil Roebuck and the Captain who sailed the most with our club was our one and only Tom Murphy. Congratulations gentleman! Your names will be engraved on our beautiful 8 Bells trophy designed and made by our own new Commodore Forrest Newburg. Our Vice Commodore Bill Crosby ended our meeting with a very special trip down memory lane with a video and slide presentation displaying our many adventures in 2018! I would like to say a special thank you to all the members of the Sailing Club for welcoming me this year as your Commodore. It has been a pleasure to take the helm and spend time with you all. I made many new friends and cherish the time we sent together. Our next meeting will be on Tues., Jan. 8, in the hall. Happy New Year!
