Our Bocce season for 2019 will begin on March 21. Sign-ups will be held in the Ballroom at the Lodge on Thurs., March 7 at 1 pm. We welcome new players and we will help you form your four person team! There will be a Bocce Committee meeting on Fri., Feb. 1 at 10 am in the Conference Room. We will discuss the 2019 season of play. We will have a Bocce Scramble of two person teams on Feb. 7. Just come to the Bocce courts at 9 am and we will find you a competing team. This will enable us to practice before the season begins in March and will also be a time for new players to learn the game. Remember any resident of Four Seasons may sign out the Bocce equipment and play at any time. The Lodge attendant will be happy to assist you. If you are new to the game and would like some coaching, please contact me to set up a day and time. We celebrated the win of the team of Jim Gates and Mike Garrett. We also gave a round of applause to the team of Joyce Kerns and Donna Morrell who managed to win five games before losing to the winners. Our regular 2019 season of Four Seasons Shuffleboard will begin in September. We will have a Shuffleboard scramble of two person teams, either two men or two women on each team. It will be held on March 14, a Thursday morning beginning at 9 am. Just come with your two- person team and we'll find you opponents, this will be a competition of men verses women. Might settle the disagreement of who are the better players, and then again it might NOT! There is a group who are practicing most Monday and Friday mornings. They start at approximately 9 am and play for about one to two hours. Come out and join them, they are great teachers for anyone new to the game. This is a fun sport, easy to learn and easy on the joints! If that does not work for you, please call me and we can get together at a more convenient time for you. We usually play at the Hemet Golf Course, but occasionally we travel to a different course. Also we sometimes meet for lunch after our round. We are trying to "grow" our group. We welcome all women golfers. Yes, at this time we are gender-specific; after all, we call ourselves the DIVAS. We welcome ALL levels of play, because that is what we are. No handicap required. We are not an official, sanctioned league. We just love to get together and play and socialize. You can play nine or 18 holes. If you are new to golf or have been playing for years, please consider joining us. You don't have to be a Four Seasons resident.
