6 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | March 2019 | Hey everyone, are you ready for spring? It will be here officially on March 20. All the rain we had has kept the hills greener longer and I am expecting LOTS of wild flowers. Get your cameras ready and take those amazing shots – maybe one of those pictures could make the cover of our Herald. I hope you all enjoyed the Comedy Night in January? The hypnotist was very good, and our resident volunteers were so funny! Last week I couldn't resist asking Fred Kydd if he still liked to play with Barbies… we both had a good laugh! And if you don't understand that question… well, see what you missed! Thanks to ALL our volunteers. We had a fun night. On another happy note — did you see the article in the February Herald about 50th Anniversaries? If you have celebrated 50 years or more together, please turn in your form. We want to include you in our special article in the April issue. Remember, we will be taking a group photo on March 8 at 10:30 am of everyone who submitted a form. We have some great Music on the Plaza planned for this year. Eight great bands, starting March 26 with Shades of Sound with our own Gary Lewis. Ginny Cole-Weaver asked me "why can't we buy season tickets for the whole year and write just one check?" I thought, why not… so if you want to buy ALL EIGHT BANDS at once, you can ask for the SEASON TICKET at the front desk for $40 — check or credit card accepted. Or you can just buy them as usual, one band at a time, right up to the start of each event. If you haven't see the lineup yet, it's here in the Herald, and there are fliers to pick up in the lobby of the Lodge. For all of you who have been asking for a bus excursion to see Shen Yun, now is your time. Last day to purchase tickets is March 24. This show is so popular that the theater required 45 days confirmation prior to show. The show is at the McCallum Theater on May 10. We will be leaving Four Seasons at 10 am, heading first to Sherman's Deli in Palm Springs for lunch (on your own), then over to the McCallum Theater in Palm Desert for the matinée show. Tickets are $119 each and available at the front desk. Our next bus excursion will be to San Diego for a Hornblower Sunday Champagne Brunch Cruise on July 21 — a nice way to get out of the heat for a day. More information will be coming soon on that event. See you around the Lodge, and let's get ready for spring! A Note From Your Activities Director By Louise Ceccarelli
