Lifestyles Advisory marketing Advisory The Lifestyles Advisory Committee would like to thank the Sun Lakes residents for embracing the community page - Things We Are Grateful For, where we continue to spread positivity! If you have someone to thank, or want to spread a little good cheer, please send your gratitude to sunlakesnews@yahoo.com. Put "Gratitude" in the subject line. We have been asked why the advertisements can't be put into the back of the magazine, with a list of them preceding the ads. The advertisers would not purchase ads if we did this, they like to see their ads throughout the magazine where they know they will be seen. Remember, we need these advertisers, as after all, the advertiser is actually paying for the production costs associated with the Lifestyles, allowing it to be published at no cost to Sun Lakes. Having these advertisers allows the community to find needed services that are local. If you are dissatisfied with the service you have received from a supplier who has advertised in the Lifestyles, please contact the editor at sunlakesnews@yahoo.com and she will work with you on a resolution. After three legitimate, investigated complaints on a supplier, which are unable to be resolved, they will no longer be allowed to advertise in the Lifestyles. The Lifestyles is one of the best magazines published for a private community and we are proud to have it be our community magazine, so let's continue to use it. A big thank you to Courtney Taylor and her Team at Image Up for publishing such a beautiful magazine. Each month, the Marketing Advisory Committee highlights one or more of the Clubs and/or Groups that are active here at Sun Lakes through a "Spotlight On" feature. This month, we turn a spotlight on… THE SUN LAKES DINNER DANCE CLUB Do you like to dance, but the Friday and Saturday night Lounge entertainment isn't quite your favorite style? The Sun Lakes Dinner Dance Club might be just the fit you're looking for. Once a month, the Dinner Dance Club holds an event in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. A pleasurable night of dinner, socializing, and dancing is enjoyed by all who attend. Each monthly event features music from a variety of genres, generally provided by live bands. Monthly themes range from casual to dressy. It all makes for a great "date" night with your favorite dance partner. The Club's next event will be held on April 20th, and will be a Dressy/Casual night featuring the band "Sophisticats". Best of all, you can attend your first event with no obligation to join the Club, although we're sure you'll want to once you've experienced what Dinner Dance Club is all about. Interested? For more information, look for the Dinner Dance Club article in this issue of Lifestyles, or call Club President Bill Nevins, (951) 846-9910. So – put on your dancing shoes and check out the Sun Lakes Dinner Dance Club! C'MON – LET'S PLAY GOLF Did You Know? The Sun Lakes Pro Shop staff includes certified golf professionals who are excellent teachers of the game of golf. PGA Director of Golf Al Vallecorsa and his staff are available to provide instruction on the fundamentals of the game, or can help improve your current game. And, if you're a little uncomfortable "going it alone," why not get a couple of friends and learn the game together? That's right – group lessons are also available and can be a fun way to be introduced to the game of golf. Our golf courses here at Sun Lakes are some of the best around. So, give Al or his staff a call and arrange for a lesson – or a group lesson. C'mon – let's play golf! 18 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | APRIL 2019 | Sun Lakes Advisory Committee Reports We are happy to see more Advisory Committees submitting articles about the important work they are doing in Sun Lakes.
