| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | April 2019 | 5 The Annual Membership Meeting is April 24. This year's Annual Meeting will be held to elect three Directors. There are two meeting times; 11 am and 1 pm. The 11 am meeting will allow the Board of Directors to open the meeting, allow the Inspector of Election to establish a quorum, call for nominations from the floor, close the polls and conduct any other association related business as needed. The meeting will then be adjourned to allow the Nominations Committee and the volunteers adequate time to open 1,000+ green and white envelopes. The volunteers then count and tabulate the votes for the Inspector of Election, who will certify the results. You are welcome to attend the 11 am portion, but we want to let you know the difference between the two times in case you have commitments in the morning. The meeting will re-convene at 1 pm. If you received a ballot and haven't submitted it by the time you are reading this, please do so by 10 am on April 24 so it can be included in the count! This is so a quorum is achieved. We appreciate everyone's participation in this important event to see who will represent the association on the Board for the next two years. Whether you voted for the persons elected or not, please take a moment to congratulate them for volunteering to serve the community. It is a very big commitment of time and energy and they deserve our gratitude for being willing to step up! Home Sales: We continue to get three to five new owners a month. As of this writing, there are approximately 22 listings in the community. We have recently encountered an issue that we want all residents who are thinking of listing their home to be aware of. (This includes the homes currently listed for sale.) According to our records, a few properties currently listed have made changes to the exterior of their home without ARC approval (per the ARC standards). What does this mean? It means we have to notify the owner and sometimes the listing agent to let them know there is an issue that could affect the escrow (if the home is in escrow) if not addressed. How we are addressing it: When we are performing our weekly inspections, we are on the lookout for any new "For Sale" signs. In addition, we receive updated MLS reports from one of the local realtors. When we see a new listing, a photo is taken, the property file is checked to verify the current photo with the ARC forms and Notice of Completion. If everything checks out, great! If not, the above action is started. How can this be avoided? If you plan to do any changes to the exterior of your home or the landscaping, those changes require the approval of the Architectural Committee. If you are not sure, CALL US! A few minutes with us can save hours of grief. Your listing agent will appreciate it. Have a safe month! General Manager's Message By Rick Ruth In February, the Assistance League of Hemacinto conducted a new book drive in an effort to collect 1,000 or more books for kindergarten through eighth grade students to help fight the lack of childhood literacy. A box was placed in the Lodge and residents of Four Seasons were invited to donate reading books that could be distributed to local children to support their reading at home. There was a tremendous response and the volunteer members of the Assistance League would like to thank those residents who contributed to the collection. The box was emptied each week and there were always books to be found in that box. The response of this community is so very much appreciated: THANK YOU! For those that do not know, the Assistance League of Hemacinto is entirely a volunteer organization with a mission to transform the lives of children and adults through their community programs. If you would like to have more information about how you can contribute to their work please contact Linda Morriss, a Four Seasons resident since 2003, at (951) 325-8200.
