54 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | APRIL 2019 Motorcycle club On Feb. 23, the Four Seasons Motorcycle Club (MC) held its annual dinner. This fun event lets us reminisce about the rides and camaraderie that we shared in 2018 and celebrate the beginning of a new riding year. Club President, Terry Humble, said it best at the dinner when he addressed the club by simply saying "We have a pretty good club." Indeed! We continue to have a good turn out for our Thursday rides, sometimes with as many as a dozen riders. Our club is more than just a bunch of motorcycle enthusiasts sharing the love of riding. The friendship and chemistry among our club members is special, which makes going on our Thursday rides an event that we truly look forward to each and every week. In addition to our weekly Thursday rides, the MC goes on a few multi-day rides every year. In 2018 the highlight of the year was our week-long ride to Utah in May. Later in the year we went on a multi day ride to Jacumba and we wrapped up the year with a multi-day ride to Laughlin. 2019 is already shaping up to be another memorable one; in April we will be heading to Tucson and Tombstone on a five- day ride and in September we will be going on a week-long ride up the coast to San Francisco and then over the Sierras. We will also very likely arrange for another Jacumba ride. A special thanks to Howard Lyon for putting together the video that played on a large screen throughout the event. Howard compiled hundreds of photos of rides from years past as well as photos of some of our members going back to their much younger days (I'm talking about long hair from the '60s and '70s and 30 inch waists). Also, we did things a little differently this year for the venue of the dinner. Instead of going out of town and holding the event at a restaurant, we had the dinner catered right here at Four Seasons in the RCN building. It couldn't have worked out better so, thank you FirstService management and staff for providing the RCN site and for help in setting up the room. If you are a motorcycle rider or are thinking about taking up motorcycle riding, please consider joining the club. The club consists of a wide array of motorcycle makes and classes including long distance touring bikes, sport touring bikes, adventure bikes, cruisers and trikes. So, whatever you ride, you'll probably fit right in. If you have any questions about the club, call Club President Terry Humble at (909) 706-2298, VP Scott Snyder at (562) 714-7252 or me, Secretary Jim Ayala (951) 392-6259. ~ Jim Ayala, jimrayala95@gmail.com Motorcycle Club members, spouses and guests taking time out for a group photo at the club's annual dinner
