March came in like a lion and out like a lamb? Is that how it goes?
Just hoping spring will be here soon. After a refresher workshop
with Marcia Bruce, we are now on our own to be as creative as we
desire and produce more cradle quilts for the children of our dear
military neighbors at Camp Pendleton. Marilyn Milligan headed up
a workshop creating a small zippered bag, a very useful accessory
for any purse or travel bag. In addition, Sharon Kleven coordinated
a workshop making birthday placemats. After seeing mine, I had a
couple requests from family members for their own and now I have
birthday gifts at the ready.
Our regular schedule: You will hear cordial conversation in the
Sewing Room on Tuesday evenings and Friday afternoons as we all
work on our own projects. Thursday mornings may be open sewing
time or special projects. On Tuesday afternoons the beading group
will gather with Irma Ojeda, which is then followed by MaryLu Belisle
and the knitters. On the second Saturday we have a 'Sew-In' and on
the fourth Saturday, the Wearable Arts group will be up to something
fun with Pam Bechill. A complete list of happenings is listed on the
Bulletin Board in the Sewing Room.
If anyone would like to participate in our activities and is unable
to get to the Clubhouse, please contact Chris Sanderson at (858) 442-
1834. We have volunteers ready to pick you up!
Please visit our website, lovingly updated by Terri Eckhardt. http://
