6 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | May 2019 | Our first Music on the Plaza was a HUGE success, thanks to all of you who attended. The weather was perfect and the music fun! We had over 280 people there. I hope you all keep coming out each month, as we have a phenomenal line up of bands coming. April was Classic and Country Rock by Bodie. May is a special band — BB & The Blues Shacks. This band is from Germany and on their 30th anniversary tour. They are also playing at the Doheny Blues Festival later this month… you don't want to miss out, so get your wristbands now. Thanks to all of you who brought your grandchildren to the Easter Egg Hunt and Petting Zoo in April. I think the adults enjoyed the animals as much as the children. And a visit with the Easter Bunny can be a lot of fun for many of the kids. May starts with a bang on the 1st with the Ladies Luncheon and "Hollywood Revisited" — a wonderful walk down memory lane. Greg Schreiner shared part of his collection of actual movie costumes, as well as his love of music of these old great movies. Later this month is "The Taste of Elegance." For those of you who have attended before, you know how fun this is. If you are new to this community, I can promise you — you do not want to miss this event. We have four wineries coming this year and one brewery so far (hoping to entice at least one more for you beer lovers). Starbucks is coming with "Coffee Masters" to do a coffee tasting. We have over eight restaurants/bakeries/food trucks coming with tasting bites of everything from orange chicken to wings to pizza. Cake and pastry samples and more. Tickets are on sale at the front desk, for just $20/ person. Look for the flier here in the magazine, and watch for email blasts. REMEMBER that all ticket sale monies go to charity. We end the month with the Vintage Voices putting on their annual Memorial Day Concert. This is a free concert so come on down. See you around the Lodge. A Note From Your Activities Director By Louise Ceccarelli Butterfly Migration Thank you everyone who sent in their count of the butterflies in the May issue of the Hemet Herald. The correct answer was 57 total and the first person to send in the correct count was Margo Dennis. We are sending her an Amazon gift card as our contest's winner. Good job, Margo! And thank you to everyone who participated!
