Spring is bursting out with warmth, fun, and lots of pickleball. We play every morning and most afternoons and evenings. If you are curious, just come out and watch and see if it may be something for you. We are starting a new class called Introduction to Pickleball. It will be held on the second Saturday of every month at 10 am. So write that down and check us out. There have been many tournaments in the desert that our pickleballers have competed in. We have two new winners from the latest April event. They are Lou and Lorenzo Amaya. They took second place in men's doubles. During March we had many other tournament winners. Marty Key and Nancy Barnaby won second place in women's doubles. Tracy Laykoff and Jesse Aceves won first in mixed doubles. Also, Jeromee Liebenberg and Marty Key won first place in mixed doubles. It has been fun competing with other pickleballers from all over the U.S. and Canada (snow-birders). At right is a fun poem written by a player in Boston who becomes a snowbird to be able to play his favorite sport. Happy spring - goodbye winter! Keep pickling!
