52 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2019 Our group is designed for those couples who like to have fun, enjoy each other's company, and play the game of pool, along with some friendly competition. Whether you are new to our community or an "oldie but goody," we invite you to come check us out and meet some new people. We have quarterly tournaments in which the winners get their name proudly displayed on the plaque in our Billiard Room. With the time change and warmer weather, our group is back in full swing. We will keep the open play time from 5 to 8 pm. This seems to work for most everyone. In the event we get too many waiting, we may have to go back to a two-session schedule. We have a great fun-filled summer party planned at The Summit on July 20 for our group that you won't want to miss, so mark your calendars. Come check us out and join in the fun. Everyone is leaving Beaumont and heading to various places! Eventually all the players return, however, especially when there's a quarterly tournament coming up. Our next tournament is May 7 and, as always, the victors' names will be placed permanently on our 2019-2021 plaque. (Oh, of course, their pictures will appear in the Breeze as well! So look for them in the June issue.) To qualify for the quarterly tournaments, players must have played at least three times on a Tuesday in the three months prior to the tournament. Every Tuesday during one of our two sessions, from 11 am to 1 pm or 1 to 3 pm, our players come prepared to challenge their competitors for the day. It's always a lot of fun rotating tables to challenge the next competitors. Check out the above photos of three of our fun players – yep, we have women who come to play, as well as lots of guys! We also have practice sessions open to the community every Saturday during the same time slots. So, come join us for some fun, spirited, challenging play every Tuesday.
