Lone Pine, CA, was the destination of over 40 RV Club members
during March of this year. This trip included visiting the Alabama
Hills, the Museum of Western Film History, the Manzanar Eastern
Sierra Japanese Internment Camp Museum, and a ghost town. As
many of you already know, the spring flowers on this trip were
absolutely gorgeous. The wagon masters who made this trip so
wonderful were Steve and Jan Malone, Gerry and Nancy Gayvert, and
Mel and Jan Feintuch.
In early April, RV Club members did a day trip up the coast. We
boarded Amtrak at the Oceanside station for a short scenic ride to
San Juan Capistrano. There we were treated to a docent-led tour
of the mission and a delicious lunch nearby at the Cedar Creek Inn
Restaurant. Appreciation goes to Meddy Carso for organizing and
leading this great experience.
The next trip being planned this year by the RV Club is to Northern
California and Southern Oregon from Sept. 4 - 18. It starts in Old
Sacramento and ends in the Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park.
Sounds like lots of fun.
Our upcoming RV Club membership meeting will be Tues., May
28, in Abravanel Hall. Social time starts at 7 pm, and business
meeting starts at 7:30 pm.
