| OHCC LIVING | MAY 2019 | 23 Wish you knew how to dance? Check out Village Line Dancers. We enjoy learning basic steps while "in-A-line" Dancing, for example: Lindy, Rumba, Cha Cha. In addition, Western dance moves. Then, when we master the pieces of the choreographed dance, we put it together to music. It is a fun atmosphere where we exercise our body and brain by following the perfectly timed cues from Christine, our instructor. Always light-hearted, she paces the class with slow songs in between faster numbers. • Beginners – Thursday 2:30 – 3:30 • Intermediate – Monday 12:30 – 2:00 • Advanced – Tuesday 10:30 – Noon Come observe a class. If you would like to join Village Line Dancers, dues are $10 per person, per year and $5 for each class. MEMBERS: Save the date: Mon., July 8, Line Dancing Dinner Party. We only had 100 tickets left after the second day of selling in early April, so if you did not get your tickets to this spectacular concert, check at the front desk to see if there are any left, or if there is a waiting list. OHSPA is so excited to bring this high quality entertainment to Abravanel Hall. Chubby Checker's success has continued for years with the releases of one dance record after another. Chubby invented and popularized many other dances besides The Twist including The Fly, The Pony, The Shake, The Limbo Rock, and The Hucklebuck and there are more! He is amazing and he explodes on stage getting everyone involved! He is an energetic articulate entertainer and he is current as well. His band members that travel with him are in their own right worth the time spent at the concert! We will see you at curtain time on May 4 in Abravanel Hall!
