FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2019 47 "Happy sails to you, until we meet again…" Ok, maybe that's not how the song goes, but we are ready to set sail on our Newport Harbor Cruise day trip scheduled for July 16. We are now accepting checks or cash, and the cost per person is $89 for members, and $94 for nonmembers. Price includes bus transportation, the cruise, lunch at a restaurant, and a tour of Rogers Gardens. We will also be holding a raffle for a free trip. Each raffle ticket will be $5. If your ticket is drawn, you will be reimbursed the amount you paid for the trip. Please contact Irene Welker at (951) 845-7510, or email her at irenewelker55@gmail.com to complete trip sign-ups, make arrangements for payment, and to buy raffle tickets. Mark your calendars for the upcoming Travel Expo scheduled for Aug. 13 from 1:30 to 5:30 pm at The Lodge. Several vendors are expected to attend, and there should be some last-minute travel deals for 2019. Our next two travel group meetings are scheduled for July 20 and Sept. 28. If you can't make the meetings, we do provide updates by email. Contact Sharon Bond at sjbond2013@gmail.com if you would like to be placed on our email list. Happy sailing! ~ Kris Corbett Travel Group Summer is almost here, and we begin to think about looking good at the pool or beach. But that's not why people join TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly). We've given up the dream of looking like Barbie or Ken on the beach. We know that while appearance is important, good health means more. It means running and playing with our grandchildren. It means having the energy to play pickleball or bocce. It means camping in your RV or line dancing without breathing too hard. For all those reasons we go to TOPS to learn about healthier ways of living. This month we had a speaker on joint pain, and even had a Salad Party where we made nutritious salads to be eaten during the week. Many of the salads had 15 or more ingredients. Our big losers for the month were Laura Emerson and Mike Corbett. Congratulations for following a healthy lifestyle and making it pay off. To find out more, join us at TOPS. We have ideas and support for better, healthier eating habits. We meet every Tuesday morning at 8 am in the Ballroom. ~ Andi Henderson, (918) 497-6491 TOPS Four Seasons Amateur Radio Club licensees operate radios on three different frequency bands in the Radio Room in the RCN.
