56 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2019
The pickleball courts have been very busy
as the weather is warming. Almost all the
courts are being played on throughout the
day and evenings. Please check the pickleball
schedule in the Breeze and outside of the
pickleball courts for our group play times.
The Cinco de Mayo Pickleball Round
Robin Tournament was well represented by
our Pickleball Club. In fact, Four Seasons was
the largest group participating in the event.
We, as well, had many non-players there to
give support. The tournament took place at
Crafton Hills College and was not sanctioned.
It was a fun and low key event. The players
ranged from beginner 2.5 to advanced 5.0
categories. We held our own; and we are
proud of the new players, as well as our
seasoned players, for going out and giving it
their all. Our own David Burchartz won 2nd
place in the Round Robin Men's Division 3.0.
Way to go!
Pickleball is the fastest growing sport for a
reason. It's fun, easy to learn, and some may
say, addicting. There is no need to have prior
racket or paddle sport experience. We have
instructors, Lynn Rae and Jerome, who would
love to help you get started in our beginner
class, "Intro to Pickleball," held on the second
Saturday of the month at 10 am. The class is
not only structured for beginners but also for
those just wanting to up their game. Come
check us out, and get ready to have lots of fun
on our beautiful pickleball courts. ~ Yundell
