46 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JULY 2019 | Lady Executive Golf Welcome to Lady Executive Golfers (LEGS)! We are a 9-hole club on the Executive Course. We play weekly on Tuesday mornings with mixed play, fun scrambles and a monthly tournament. In addition, we participate with other clubs for 18-hole tournaments and "away games" a few times during the year. During the summer (July through Sept.) we meet at 7:30 am with a tee time of 8 am. The third Tuesday of each month is our monthly meeting and lunch ($10) at the South Clubhouse. Guests welcome! For lunch information, call Pam Munson, (951) 609-4803. We emphasize fun and socializing while striving to improve our game and become more familiar with the Rules of Golf. Join us! Women's Golf We play a variety of weekly golf games and scheduled tournaments on our Championship Course every Thursday, and on the first Saturday of each month. The first Thursday game of each month is a Scramble or a Shamble. Afterward, we gather in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom for a luncheon followed by our General Meeting. In addition to our regular weekly games we have nine major tournaments scheduled this year, including our Member/Guest Invitational Tournament and the Extravaganza, which is co-ed and played with members of the Sun Lakes Men's Golf Club. Tournaments are flighted. Our $65 annual membership fee includes membership with SCGA with your GHIN handicap. To obtain the handicap, you will need to play five 18 hole rounds on the Championship course. Our Handicap Chair will calculate your handicap from your scorecards and you'll be set to hit the links. A special "hats off " to all the volunteers for their hard work. This is what makes Sun Lakes so special! Now, we welcome the Fourth of July with the parade and activities for the day. Truly a time to celebrate our wonderful country. Since July Fourth is on the first Thursday of the month, our regular Shotgun Scramble is moved to July 11. We will be playing on the Executive Course at 7:45 am. Then, we will have our General Meeting at 10:30 am (right after golf ) in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. We do this to avoid playing in the heat of the day. Lady Niners are a group of women who enjoy playing nine holes of golf each week on Thursdays. Our games are with different formats. All of our members have a GHIN handicap card which allows us to take part in all golfing rounds whether here at Sun Lakes or at any other golf course. Saturday Morning Golf Are you still working and looking for a weekend golf option? Are you interested in sharpening your short game skills? Do you enjoy having a relaxed game of golf? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may wish to join our Saturday Morning Golf Group. We play on the Executive Course. Our membership includes men and women with a large range of handicaps. Our members share a love of the game. We have shotgun starts. Most of the year, October through June, the check in time is 8:30 am with a 9 am shotgun. In the summer, July through September, the check in time is 8 am with a 8:30 am shotgun. We hold monthly tournaments, an annual Club Championship competition, and quarterly dinners. Membership application forms are available in the North Pro Shop. Annual dues are only $15.
