14 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JULY 2019 | Get ready for the fireworks. It's 4th of July celebration month! Time to think about the independence we, and our country, have because of some truly caring and intelligent men way back in 1776. Let's honor the day, put on your red white and blue and be proud we are Americans! This is a day that puts you in the mood for parades and you can do both - have your coffee with our local Four Season's Golf Cart parade and then pop over to the city of Hemet's parade. The latter will have bigger vehicles and school bands, so get your day started right! The Social Ladies Club requested Francisco to serve the traditional July 4th menu of hamburgers and hot dogs out by the BBQ's. Then about 7 pm, more fun. They have hired a band offering music to dance to, or just kick back and enjoy the evening as it cools down. May 31 was another "Bang Up" night for the fifth Friday of the month Western Chicken and Ribs Buffet. We all know a bargain when it's available. Where else can you have all the food for $10? Francisco said that they served 190 people. I'm sure that is more than he expected, but he never ran out of food. We also were entertained with the music by the Once Again Band, it's always fun and a good beat when they're are around. The lucky winners of the Sunday Brunch for Two is Michael and Marie Eckert. Ken Pounder drew the winning ticket at the BOD meeting on May 29. The employee profile of the month is Sonia Mena. When she has free time, she likes dancing, karaoke, and watching boxing. She moved from Hacienda Heights to San Jacinto for a bigger house for the family. She is divorced and a single mom who is very proud of her son, age 20, and daughter, age 22, both of whom are attending college. She worked with Francisco at the Hemet Elks for three years and has been here at Four Seasons for seven years. She just purchased a new home in Val Vista. She is hoping to retire in about three years, but her real dream has always been to own a home in Palm Springs some day!
