| OHCC LIVING | JULY 2019 | 37
This month I've included a couple more photos from the amazing
RV trip to Tucson, AZ. As you can see, there was no shortage of
interesting places to tour and visit.
Now that July is upon us, it's time to get ready for the RV Club
annual summer Lanai Party (July 30). The theme this year is "the
Beach Boys." Should you have any questions about this event, please
contact our VP Social - Meddy Carso.
Skip Harvey (VP Trips) has done an excellent job this year working
to provide several fascinating trips. On May 9-13, club members had
a pop-up at Mission Bay RV Park to attend the "Gator by the Bay"
event. This included live music and Louisiana Food and Crawfish
Festival. Skip says it was like a Mardi Gras in San Diego.
Speaking of trips, here's a quick summary of trips planned for
the rest of this year: "Parks and More" to Northern California and
Southern Oregon (Sept. 4-18), "Oak Glen Apple Season" pop-up (Oct.
14-17), "Paso Robles/Pismo Beach" (Oct. 18-27), "Thanksgiving"
at KOA San Diego in Chula Vista (Nov. 14-18). For trip details and
names of wagon masters, go to the RV Club website and read the
"Open Road" monthly newsletter or click on the Calendar tab and
under that click the Trips tab.
There will not be a general membership meeting in July. The next
general meeting will be Tues., Sept. 24, in Abravanel Hall. Social time
starts at 7 pm, and business meeting starts at 7:30 pm.
