FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2019 49 On June 6, 11 brave off-roaders headed up I-15 to Cleghorn Trail in Cajon Pass. It was a picture perfect day with many blue wildflowers still in bloom. Drivers had their option of the fairly smooth main trail or more challenging cut-outs. The day ended at Silverwood Lake with a nice picnic lunch. Come and join us if you own a 4x4 or would like to ride along with one of our members. We meet in the Arts & Crafts Room on the first Tuesday of each month at 6 pm to plan the upcoming trip on Thursday, two days later. The weather was very pleasant, especially at the higher elevations. Because of the winter we had, there was a tremendous amount of snow on the surrounding mountains. Fishing was excellent for those who went trout fishing. Some of the sightseeing we did was Mammoth, Bodie and the June Lake loop. The group went to breakfast at historic Tom's Place which everyone enjoyed. We also had a potluck trout dinner prepared by Bob Cooper. It was very good! Our upcoming trips: August is Jackson, CA; September is Mesa Verde, CO; October is Borrego Springs; and November is Pechanga. Guests are welcome to participate in our camp-outs. Our monthly meetings are at The Lodge in the RCN on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm.
