Greetings! Our next social gathering will be an authentic Hawaiian
luau with a Hawaiian-style dinner and entertainment on Sept. 21. Tickets
will go on sale on Monday, Aug. 12 at 9 am (waiting sign-in list will open
at 7 am). Tickets will cost $35 per person. We expect this to be a sell-out
event, so pull out those Muu-Muus and Aloha shirts and get ready to be
entertained Hawaiian-style. See flyers at The Lodge for further details.

Social Committee
The Safety Committee meeting is at 10 am on the first Tuesday
of each month in the RCN Conference Room. We are focused on
identifying all safety issues. If you have any safety concerns, please
join us on Aug. 6.
At our July meeting, four homeowners attended and expressed
concern about speeding, crosswalks, and drivers not slowing down
for people crossing the road.
The Safety Committee has agreed to recommend to the Board of
Directors to approve installation of a stop sign at White Sands/Rim
Trail on Four Seasons Circle.
Unfortunately, there are some drivers who are in such a hurry
they continue to speed even when they see someone crossing Four
Seasons Circle. There have even been reports of people passing cars
that have slowed to allow our residents to cross the road.
Be aware at all of the crosswalks. Please use safety precautions
before entering the crosswalk and while on the road. Watch out for
the impatient driver.
We will work on a full campaign to raise awareness and alert
everyone to this pedestrian safety concern.
Due to the slope, optical illusion, and dead ends on Alissa Flowers
and Mock Bluff, visual barriers of white vinyl fences with appropriate
signage will be installed.
At our next meeting, we will continue to discuss possible traffic
solutions, speed cameras, and safety concerns of the community. ~
