These are words that describe Evelyn Hawkins, Director, Choreographer and Performer of the Stardust Dancers. I recently had the privilege to spend some time talking with Evelyn about one of her passions & here are some of her thoughts. Why do you enjoy being a Director/Choreographer? Evelyn: Because I get to teach, educate and hopefully inspire dancers as we prepare for various performances throughout the year. Over the years, what has been the most rewarding part of directing the Stardust Dancers? Evelyn: Watching the way dancers come together, turning vision into reality, and seeing your hard work finally come to life on stage is a rewarding and incredible experience. Many thanks to all of those who made this show possible. It was a "wave of compliments," congratulations and best wishes from so many people in the audience that said, "for such a small group this was a wonderful and very fast-paced show. "They loved it!" July started out like a firecracker… the ladies performed for a private birthday party and entertained for the "Young At Heart Group" where everyone really enjoyed the evening. It was a "mini show" all over again! If you would like to "just come to exercise" please do so for free! We meet on Wednesdays at the North Clubhouse from 10 am to 12:30 pm and Saturdays from 8 to 10 am at the Main Clubhouse. Please contact Barbara Finelly (951) 845-7904 or Olga Marquette (951) 846- 3571 if you would like to have Makua Hula perform at your event, club or private gathering.
