The schedule from July 29 through Aug. 31 will be as follows: Main Clubhouse Ballroom 1 to 3 pm, Mon., July 29 (lobby side); 1 to 3 pm, Mon., Aug. 5 (stage side) All other dates will be posted due to the renovation. No music background is required, only the desire to enjoy music. To All Sun Lakes Residents: In past years we have sponsored an "Introductory Dance" in August to tell and show interested residents all about our club. This year, however, the Ballroom will be closed in August and September for renovations. So all we can do is to encourage you to come to our line dance instructions which starts the first Monday evening after Labor Day on Mon., Sept. 9. Instruction is in the South Clubhouse from 7 to 8:30 pm. At the first line dance instruction on Mon., Sept. 9, we will tell you all about the club and also teach three ultra beginner dances. This instruction is free. We have line dance instruction every Monday in the South Clubhouse from 7 to 8:30 pm. We start with the basics of line dancing and with very easy dances, so come and give it a try. At this time it seems as though the first Ballroom dance will be in October. We are scheduled for Thurs., Oct. 17. Country Western Dance Dinner Dance Club The new year for Dinner Dance Club is starting off with a bang with all new Board Members. Thanks to all of you who have rejoined. This is going to be a great year for our club. Hopefully you have submitted your membership by now, but, if not, remember your dues must be submitted in order to attend the August Dinner Dance. Our dance will be held on Sat., Aug. 17 and we have a new DJ to the club, "DJ OT", who will be providing our musical entertainment for the evening. Doors open at 5:30 pm. Evening attire is casual (maybe think Hawaiian to go with our meal.) Remember to visit our web site and print out your sign up form and see the table locations. Our menu sounds delicious. Entreés are as follows: 1) Mahi-Mahi $23.75; 2) Chicken teriyaki $23.50; 3) Stuffed portobello mushroom $22.75. Entreés are served with Hawaiian rolls and butter, coleslaw w/pineapple chunks, rice pilaf and Asian blend vegetables. Lemon meringue pie will top off this delicious meal. Sign ups will be accepted between Aug. 1 and 8. You may drop off your selection choice together with your check at Anne Wood's home located at 5836 Indian Canyon Drive. If you sign up for our Dinner Dance and are unable to attend for some reason, please call Anne at (951) 769-4451 and she will arrange for you to pick up your meal to enjoy at home. And, remember, if you haven't submitted your membership, make sure you include that check (separate, please) with your menu choice. Look forward to seeing all of you at the dance. Int'l Culture Club In the month of August the ICC will celebrate "The Lazy Days of Summer." We will dance to the music of Showdown Band. You will find a pre-set dinner salad with tomato, cucumbers and shredded carrots. The salad will be served with both ranch and Italian dressings. Our buffet entrée will consist of bourbon glazed pork loin and chicken marsala. We will also have mashed potatoes and gravy, and fresh green bean almondine. Our dessert will be spumoni ice cream. Sign up for this dinner dance on the first Thursday afternoon of the month at 3 pm at the North Clubhouse. Members will pay $25 and non-resident guests $28. Our try-before-you-join is still in effect. The try before you buy price is $28. For new members our annual club membership is $25 for the year. If you cannot attend after signing up, call Carol Hurt at (951) 769- 1315 no later than the following Sunday afternoon after the sign up and she will return your check.
