50 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | SEPTEMBER 2019 | Lady Executive Golf Welcome to Lady Executive Golfers (LEGS)! We are a 9-hole club on the Executive Course. We play weekly on Tuesday mornings with mixed play, fun scrambles and a monthly tournament. In addition, we participate with other clubs for 18-hole tournaments and "away games" a few times during the year. During the summer (July through Sept.) we meet at 7:30 am with a tee time of 8 am. The third Tuesday of each month is our monthly meeting and lunch ($10) at the South Clubhouse. Guests welcome! For lunch information, call Evon Montague, (951) 769-3279. We emphasize fun and socializing while striving to improve our game and become more familiar with the Rules of Golf. Join us! Lady Niners July and August have put us to the heat test. Hopefully September will let up a little as we prepare for our Club Championship. We will continue to have our first Thursday of the month on the Executive Course with a 7:45 am Shotgun/Scramble. However, all other rounds will be on the main course as we compete for the Club Championship on Sept. 12, 17, and 19. Our "fun round" will be tee times on Sept. 26. Our general meeting is scheduled for Sept. 5 after the golf round at 10:30 am in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. The Board Meeting is scheduled for Sept. 17 at 11 am in the Bus Room. With the heat we have been having, be sure to keep yourself hydrated. Lady Niners have the distinct advantage of enjoying nine holes of golf every Thursday on a championship course. We each carry a GHIN handicap, thus giving us the opportunity to play in other tournaments and events in the area. With nine holes of golf, we feel that we have enjoyed the time on the course, but still have time for other events for the day. Saturday Morning Golf Are you still working and looking for a weekend golf option? Are you interested in sharpening your short game skills? Do you enjoy having a relaxed game of golf? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may wish to join our Saturday Morning Golf Group. We play on the Executive Course. Our membership includes men and women with a large range of handicaps. Our members share a love of the game. We have shotgun starts. Most of the year, October through June, the check in time is 8:30 am with a 9 am shotgun. In the summer, July through September, the check in time is 8 am with a 8:30 am shotgun. We hold monthly tournaments, an annual Club Championship competition, and quarterly dinners. Membership application forms are available in the North Pro Shop. Annual dues are only $15.
