It's time for the grand finale of the Amphitheater 2019 season. This year it will be a "country night" featuring the Kelly Rae Band, who are back by popular demand. This is the Kelly Rae Band's third visit to the Amphitheater. Each time they have provided us with a great night of country music. The Kelly Rae band has opened for Miranda Lambert, Terri Clark, and played at the Stagecoach Festival. They are a six-piece country band that will have the Amphitheater tapping toes, singing along, and having a great time! So, put on your boots, get that cowboy hat, and come join your friends and neighbors at the Amphitheater "ranch" on Sunday, Sept. 22. There will be a Best Cowboy Hat Contest for all you "cowpokes." Remember that you can set up your chairs anytime after 10 am the day of the concert. There is no placing of blankets to save seats. Bring along some "vittles" to munch on or something to drink. Bottles must be in protective sleeve or container. No glass. See you at the Amphitheater, y'all. ~ Mark Lassen, lassenqa@ aol.com Amphitheater FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2019 35 Are you prepared? One of our most asked questions here is what is our community going to do in case we have an emergency? The bottom line is each resident needs to be prepared in case of an emergency. On Sept. 11 at 10 am in The Lodge Ballroom, Neighborhood Watch will team up with our very own Emergency Preparedness Committee and the Riverside Emergency Management Department for an informative meeting on how each of us can be prepared in case of an emergency. During the month of July the Beaumont Police Department shared a #9PMROUTINE meme each night at 9 pm to help residents remember how important it is to secure our property before turning in for the night. The memes were a fun way help residents develop a routine of locking their doors, cars and gates as well as making sure if your car is parked outside that all valuables are removed from your vehicle. All incidents reported recently within our gates have been due to vehicles being left outside unlocked. If you do leave your car out all night be sure and remove your garage door opener. This will prevent an intruder who may get into your car from being able to enter your garage, and from there, your house. If you haven't already joined our Facebook page search Four Seasons Beaumont Neighborhood Watch. This is a closed group, so please answer the three questions and submit to join. This is a great positive way to find out when our Neighborhood Watch meetings are as well as notifications and safety alerts. For the month of August we had our regular 10 am meeting and offered a second meeting at 6 pm for our residents who may still be working and not able to attend our morning meetings. We will continue to offer the evening meeting once a quarter to see if there is interest in evening meetings. Our steering committee members covered some important topics: What Neighborhood Watch is all about, the importance of Block Captains, and safety concerns. Our meeting was well-attended and residents were able to ask questions as well as give us topics that they would like us to cover at future meetings. Reminder: Please slow down, stop at stop signs, yield to pedestrians in the crosswalks, and yield before entering any traffic circles. Please join us on Sept. 11 at 10 am in The Lodge Ballroom so that we can all be prepared in case we have an emergency in our community. If you see something, say something, call Beaumont Police Department (951) 769-8500. Stay safe, do not confront anyone. ~ Donna Lewis Neighborhood Watch
