FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2019 55
Ladies
Putters
Group
September already! Time does slip by when you are having fun.
There is some good news for our club… The site maintenance staff
made much needed repairs to our venue in August by replacing
the boards outlining our pits and putting new material within,
consisting mainly of crushed sea shells and crushed granite. Wow,
it really looks good and plays well. A very big thank you goes to the
entire maintenance staff for completing this request made a long
time ago.
So, if you are reading this article and have any interest in playing
horseshoes at all, now is a good time to come out and join us. We're
playing at the most beautiful venue with the best view in the entire
pass area. Our main goal is to have fun and we have relaxed rules
to fit everyone's physical abilities. Now you are out of excuses, so
come see us. We meet every Wednesday morning at 8 am at The
Summit in the shade of our "Thank You God" tree. Our contacts are:
Ron Erickson at (951) 846-3288, rejlerickson@sbcglobal.net or Gary
Christie at (951) 845-0520, goldtoy@earthlink.net. ~ Ron Erickson

After our game of putting here at Four Seasons, we finished up with choosing
a hole and measuring a distance of about 40 feet from the pin. We putt nearest
to the rim of the hole without it dropping in. On this occasion last season, the
winner was Phyllis Kates, and the pictures show how close she came.
If you are interested in coming along to putt, we have extra putters and balls
— why not give it a try? All levels are welcome. We play Monday evenings at 6
pm and Friday mornings at 9 am. The game lasts about an hour. If you have
questions please call Judy Irving, President at (760) 610-9902. ~ Susan Wilson
