FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2019 51 Classic Film Group We are continuing with famous directors' trademark movies on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 6 pm in The Lodge Theater. Come join us on the second Tuesday night of each month for an adventure into various film genres with renowned directors. We will explore Spielberg, Tarantino, Scorsese, Ron Howard, Hitchcock, Eastwood, John Ford, Orson Wells, Kubrick and more. We will have an open discussion afterward on the movie. Our October showing will be Jaws, the second motion picture that Steven Spielberg directed. This movie, from 1975, changed cinema forever. We'll discuss the Alfred Hitchcock influence and Spielberg's trademark style. And do not EVER forget that menacing sound track. Check the movies schedule for the upcoming movies or email me at 4seasonsmoviegroup@ gmail.com for upcoming directors and movies. See you at the movies. ~ Paul Plamondon At sea, no one can hear your scream When a killer shark unleashes chaos on a beach community, it's up to a local sheriff, a marine biologist, and an old seafarer, to hunt the beast down. Adventure, Drama, Thriller Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 6 pm in The Lodge Theater. Travel Group Congratulations to new member Debbie Bartlett, the latest Travel Group winner Our September Cars & Coffee gathering was fantastic! Unfortunately it was missing one car nut and that was me (Frank Morales). I was enjoying the beautiful islands of Kauai and Oahu. But all the car enthusiasts who showed up enjoyed the wonderful cars and trucks that were displayed and the great conversations with their owners. A few car show events are occurring within the next few months and are being held in the local area. Four Seasons in Hemet is hosting a car and motorcycle show Oct. 19, and Rick Morales and Frank Morales will be there along with other car fanatics from Four Seasons Beaumont. Entry forms can be picked up at The Lodge or from Rick Morales. Four Seasons in Beaumont (that's us) will be hosting our very own car, motorcycle, 4 x 4 car show, tentatively scheduled for Nov. 9. Please contact Rick Morales (951) 255- 4710 or Frank Morales (951) 203-4578 for additional information. The next Cars & Coffee gathering will be Oct. 5 at 9 am. Mahalo! ~ Frank Morales CARS & COFFEE Travel Trivia Night — say it out loud three times and it's yours! Seriously, we are sponsoring a trivia night in The Lodge Ballroom from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, Oct. 23. Matt Jaeckel from Meridian Guided Travel will be the MC. So come out, meet him, and enjoy a couple of hours of entertainment. There will be snacks and prizes, too. Our holiday potluck brunch meeting is scheduled in The Lodge Ballroom from 9 am to noon Nov. 16. After that, we will pick up again in the new year with our first meeting in the RCN Main Room at 10 am on Jan. 18, 2020. Thank you all for attending the September meeting. We discussed and received feedback on the summer travel expo and revealed that there is another expo scheduled for Feb. 12, 2020. We will provide the time frame and location when they are finalized. To our dismay (if you haven't heard) the owner of the company we were using for our day trips decided to retire and we're in the process of finding a new one. Meanwhile, keep visiting our Facebook page — Four Seasons Beaumont Travel Group. It's a good place to plan carpools to events, discuss like destination travel ideas, get feedback on excursions, and to stay connected. Happy and safe travels to you all.
