GENERAL
MANAGER'S
MESSAGE
By Anna Machado
Happy fall y'all! October is a great time to check your irrigation
settings to ensure your water schedule make sense for the lowering
temperatures.
The Annual Meeting and Election will be held on November 14 at 10
am in the Ballroom. Ballots will be mailed to you shortly. Please keep an
eye out! I hope you will all participate in this important process. Your
vote is your voice. Be heard.
Also, a Meet the Candidates meeting will be held on October 1 at 6
pm in the Ballroom. The purpose of this meeting will be to get to know
the candidates that are running for the Board of Directors.
Committees are an important part of Association operations,
providing valuable advice to the Board. The Association just wouldn't
be what it is without the help of our active committees. They deserve
our sincerest thanks. Committees give the Board a way to gather
information and offer new ideas and opinions. All committees are
advisory unless given specific decision-making authority by the Board
or CC&R's. Solera Diamond Valley has three types of committees:
Administrative committees, like the Design Review Committee,
are set out in the Association's bylaws and CC&Rs. They are ongoing,
permanent and have clearly defined power and authority.
Standing committee, such as the Financials Advisory Committee, are
established by the Board for an ongoing and specific purpose.
Ad-hoc committees, are established by the Board as needed for
specific projects or tasks. When the task is complete, the committee is
disbanded.
So, if you want to learn a little more about association operations, or
if you'd like to contribute to your community or just want to get out and
meet neighbors, we'd like to talk to you! Contact the office to inquire
about getting more involved and serving on a committee.
Have a great month and a Spooktacular Halloween!
