Pet Lovers Club President Ellen Kippel writes, "I want to thank you
all for your generous contributions to the San Diego Humane Society
at the September Flea Market. Not only did we have wonderful
donations, but we sold some of the items for cash donations of $110.
We also sold flashing lights for dog collars which raised $20 for the
Pet Lovers Club. This was a very successful day for the San Diego
Humane Society and the Pet Lovers Club. Please continue your
generous donations of supplies (such as old sheets and towels) as
well as pet items, in the big grey bin just inside the off-leash dog park.
Our Annual Meeting CORRECTION: the meeting is at 10 am on
Sat., Nov. 2, in the Men's Club Room. We'd like as many PLC members
as possible to come and cast their votes for the proposed slate of
board members. You must be a PLC member to vote. Our speaker
will help us understand the legal definitions of service dogs, therapy
dogs and comfort pets, and the various places where they are, and are
not, allowed.
Ellen encourages us to beat the rush for Do Dues Day sign-ups
and join the Pet Lovers Club now. Membership fees are $6 per person
and $10 per family. Checks may be put in the PLC envelope at the
front desk.
