FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2019 49 Life Guide Bible Study This Christmas Season, we will meet on Tuesday, Dec. 3 for a regular study on one of the Psalms led by Jim Seim. Then on Tuesday, Dec. 10, we will celebrate the first coming of our precious Lord Jesus with a potluck gathering. All residents are welcome to join us for a time of great food, carols, and sharing. The potluck will be held at 6 pm in the RCN Main Room. We will then take a holiday break and resume our study of the Psalms on Jan. 7, 2020. Regular meetings are held in the third section of The Lodge Ballroom every Tuesday at 7 pm. Please contact Doc or Letha Sellars with any questions or comments at (951) 797-3302 or docletha72@gmail.com. ~ Doc Sellars On Nov. 1 we finished studying the epistle of First Timothy in the New Testament. On Nov. 8 we studied the Book of Titus, followed by the four chapters of Second Timothy on Nov. 15 and 22. We were dark on Nov. 29 due to the Thanksgiving holiday. We resume on Dec. 6 for the year's review, followed by our annual Christmas party on Dec. 13 in the RCN. That day we will have our last lesson of the year, followed by a delicious luncheon, a fashion show by Macy's, as well as a medley of Christmas songs by a professional singer (Conni Hinkle's daughter, Wendy) as entertainment. It promises to be a delightful ending to an extraordinary year. If any of you beautiful Four Seasons ladies are interested in joining an exceptional group of Godly women to study the Word of God in 2020, please join us Jan. 3 as begin our seventh year in "Believeā¦" Women's Bible Study. We will begin with a four-week course on the subject of Grace: What is it? How do we get it? Why do we want it? What is it for? This subject will draw us closer to our mighty God. Thereafter, we will embark on the subject of "End Times." We meet every Friday at 10:30 am in the Game Room at The Lodge. Please consider joining us in the brand new year. This is a non- denominational study, and all versions of the Bible are acceptable. Hope to see you there! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! ~ Eileen Gilbert-Antoine; egcellent@msn.com "Believeā¦" Women's Bible Study Intercessory Prayer group Greeting intercessors, friends and neighbors! Are you ready for Christmas? It's here again, and starting in October the Christmas decorations are on display in stores, and by the end of October people are buying gifts. Andy Williams and Johnnie Mathis both sang the Christmas Classic "It's the most wonderful time of the year," and they are right. The first verse says: "It's the most wonderful time of the year with the kids' jingle belling and everyone telling you to be of good cheer it's the most wonderful time of the year." I love the Christmas holidays, and this Christmas is very special for me because "I am a cancer survivor." Last year in July I was diagnosed with stage-two ovarian cancer, which I was told is a fast- moving cancer. The doctor said that I would need surgery, chemo, and radiation. I was very sick while going through chemotherapy, and I was in and out of the hospital many times. But I want all of you to know that if it had not been for my wonderful husband, children, family, and the two-prayer groups that I pray with, friends and neighbors from this community encouraging me, I don't know if I would be here today. What a wonderful community we live in. Much love came from all directions. I am sharing my journey with you because I am so thankful. When people agree and pray, something happens. You actually feel the prayers and a peace comes over you that cannot be explained. You feel the love and faith, coming your way. Miracles happen when people pray and believe. Welcome to all the new residents of Four Seasons. This is a lovely community starting from the people who work at The Lodge and through your neighbors. Smile and be happy because you are blessed. Come and join us for prayer. We meet on the first Monday of each month at 9 am in the Game Room. We want to agree with you about your needs and for our community. Men are welcome. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. ~ Cookie Bonner; eaglewatchwb@ aol.com
