FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2019 65 There is no doubt the members of the Four Seasons Table Tennis Club enjoy an atmosphere of fun, friendship, and competition when we meet at The Courts every day, but seldom do we recognize the success that many of our ping pong athletes achieve in tournaments held outside of our community. In the 35th Annual OLDlympics that were held in the San Jacinto Valley on Oct. 2, Rony Tordesillas took home a bronze medal in the table tennis competition. In the same tournament, Pete Antoine not only secured a medal in table tennis, but also earned hardware in other events such as power-lifting, track and field, and yes, even basketball free throws! Little did we realize the impressive athletic versatility of some of our FSTTC members! In table tennis event at the Inland Empire Senior Games held in Fontana on Sept. 30, Don Fant and Bob Rubenstein teamed up in men's doubles to take home the Silver medal while battling against (dare we say, much younger?) competition. 2019 has been a very fun and productive year for the Four Seasons Table Tennis Club. In addition to a very successful BBQ party last July, we secured brand new embroidered club t-shirts for many members, and our HOA once displayed their unending support of our club by adding new curtains to the west-facing windows at The Courts, which eliminated the glare that was very troublesome during afternoon play. Our ping pong club welcomes all, regardless of skill level or previous experience. FSTTC hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm, with Tuesday afternoons from 3 to 5 pm usually reserved for more advanced players. Feel free to stop on by The Courts at any time and pick up a paddle.
