| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | December 2019 | 25 Class is free and we meet Tuesday and Thursday at 7:30 am. We are extra thankful for this group who keeps showing up every Tuesday and Thursday for this very social class. We extend a warm and Merry Christmas to each of you. Please plan to join us in 2020! SASY consists of 12 strength training "moves." We focus on arms, legs, and torso. All exercises are done slowly and with a chair for balance support. The class is 30 minutes long. We do start early – really the best part of the day! If you have questions regarding this class, please call: Jeanne Lincoln (765-7112), Char Weakley (926-2599) or Joyce Kerns (325-8840). Strong Adults Stay Young (SASY) Healthy Living Eating at Home vs. Eating Out – As if you didn't know! While many restaurants and fast food outlets offer us convincing marketing statements that they offer healthy and nutritional food, studies frequently find that this isn't the case. The sugar and sodium content of most processed foods cause them to be serious threats to our health. These are also the same qualities which allow these foods to become addictive. It's not just fast food, either. The restaurant industry encourages overconsumption and indulgence in foods that we know to be unhealthy for our bodies. Nor is restaurant food as healthy for us as what we would make at home. At the same time, the cost of eating out puts a large strain on many of our food budgets. Cooking at home is the best choice for having a consistently healthy, budget-friendly diet. Many find it to be a rewarding exercise, whether you're cooking alone or with your loved ones. This healthy information is brought to you by the Healthy Living support team. Come join us. We meet every Wednesday at 9 am in the Multipurpose Room. If you have any questions about our program, please call Dave and Karen Tuvim, 599-4236. We will be introducing Healthy Living members (albeit from their early years) over the months ahead. We will not identify them until the following month. We think this should be fun. The November Herald featured Team Members: Karen Tuvim, Wayne Hulings and Fred Rau. Come join us for Zumba, Zumba!
