| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | FEBRUARY 2020 | 29 Knitters & Fiber Artists Sew What? Club As we plan our upcoming projects, we want to share that we are doing a group quilt. Also, we're doing a demo on an easy way to put binding on. Please come join us. We're here to help. If you want input, we'd love to help you find ways to improve your skills. We meet the first, third, and fifth Mondays at 1 pm. For info., call Jan Hamm at (951) 212-6799 or Vivian Myrdahl at (626) 221-0872. As I write this, the new year hasn't even begun, but as you read this, you've possibly already broken all your New Year's resolutions! I hope many of you were able to visit our table during Activities Day in January, so that you could see firsthand some of the things we have fashioned. We all seem to share a common addiction to searching out and discovering new ideas to try, along with uncovering the many great supplies and tools that are now available for our craft. A bonus that comes with being part of our group is our once- a-month luncheon. Instead of meeting for our creative time at the Clubhouse, we go to lunch and celebrate whoever is having a birthday that month. It's a fun, social time and something we all look forward to each month. Our group just ended the year in December with a wonderful holiday dinner party, where we shared gifts, games, and prizes in the newly remodeled Sandwedge. We took advantage of Maggie McKimmey and her photographic skills by asking her to take pictures throughout the evening so that we can preserve our fun memories in our group's own scrapbook. In addition, Debbie Brown created all the pieces of the game we played, part of which served as adorable Christmas party favors. She also gave each one of us a beautiful, handmade Christmas card. That would be all 25 of us. Thank you to these talented ladies. The lighted centerpieces for the tables were fabricated by the party organizers, Debbie Brown, Elaine Perkins, and Sallie Flesher, and served as the prizes for the games that were played. For more information, please contact Elaine Perkins at (951) 334- 3119 or Sallie Flesher at (951) 902-9768. Sun Lakes Quilters Scrapbooking Happy Valentine's Day!
