| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | FEBRUARY 2020 | 51 Executive Men's Golf We welcome men golf enthusiasts to join us for some great golfing experiences on the Championship Course on Wednesdays. Scheduled this month is the February Quarterly Tournament (Individual Stroke) and the first leg of the Eclectic, for those who wish to participate, on Wed., Feb. 5. The Sun Lakes Men's Golf Club (SLMGC) Quarterly Meeting will also be held on this date at 1:30 pm in the North Clubhouse. Any SLMGC member is welcome to attend the meeting even though you have not ordered lunch. Since the new GHIN system will be recalculating a new handicap index every day (if you have posted a score the previous day), this would be a good time to download the GHIN mobile app on your smartphone. The app will enable you to post scores and more importantly it will let you check your handicap index daily without going to the computer in the Main Golf Pro Shop. Membership dues are $70 ($34 goes towards Men's Club dues and $36 pays for maintaining your S.C.G.A. / GHIN handicap). We have a tournament on the third Friday of the month followed by a catered lunch in the North Clubhouse. The tournament for the month of February is an Individual Stroke. The Executive Men's Club meets on Friday mornings at 8:30 am for a 9 am shotgun start. Membership is open to all Sun Lakes male residents and all levels of golfers are welcome. COME JOIN US! Are you interested in sharpening your short game skills? Do you enjoy having a relaxed game of golf? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may wish to join our Saturday Morning Golf Group. We play on the Executive Course. Our membership includes men and women with a large range of handicaps. Our members share a love of the game. We have shotgun starts. Most of the year, October through June, the check in time is 8:30 am with a 9 am shotgun. In the summer, July through September, the check in time is 8 am with a 8:30 am shotgun. We hold monthly tournaments, an annual Club Championship competition, and quarterly dinners. Membership application forms are available in the North Pro Shop. Annual dues are only $15.
