Our goal is to have all active Advisory Committees share their news here each month. Thank you in advance for everyone's participation! Communications Recognizing the importance of providing current and accurate information to residents, the Master Board at its November Open Session Meeting approved the Charter for a new Sun Lakes Committee: the Communications Advisory Committee. And, at the December Open Session Meeting of the Master Board, Committee members were appointed. The purpose of the Communications Advisory Committee is to oversee the production of programming for the exclusive Sun Lakes television network, Spectrum Channel 97. Specific guidelines for program material have been developed to ensure all information and programming is presented in a positive manner that promotes all Sun Lakes Country Club has to offer to residents. The seven- member Committee is comprised of a representative from each of the Lifestyles, Recreation and Marketing Committees, two members of the Channel 97 production team, and two residents at large. The Channel 97 production team, led by Sun Lakes resident Bob Murri, has wasted no time in upgrading the quality of how information about clubs, groups, excursions, activities and events is presented to viewers. If you've tuned in recently, you will have noticed that informational slides with background music have been replaced with multiple photos, videos and accompanying graphics. In addition, voice overs, utilizing the talents of Sun Lakes resident volunteers, have added some personality to each presentation. You may recognize some of the voices! It is truly a network with a goal of providing information for Sun Lakes residents by Sun Lakes residents. After a period of time in late December when a technical failure resulted in a blackout of the network, Channel 97 is now up and running with Good Day Sun Lakes. A programming guide is available on the main page of the Sun Lakes Country Club website. Continuing enhancements to programming, as well as multiple options for accessing Good Day Sun Lakes programs, are being developed. So, there is no reason for not being informed about what's happening here at Sun Lakes. Read Lifestyles magazine and Sun Lakes Life newspaper – access the Sun Lakes Country Club website – and tune in to Good Day Sun Lakes on Channel 97. If your club or group would like to feature upcoming activities and special events, recruit new members, or announce results of recent competitions, email your information, photos and videos to gooddaysunlakes@gmail.com, or drop it off at the Main Clubhouse reception desk. Be sure to include contact information in the event a member of the Communications Committee or production team needs to make contact with you. THE VILLAGE BEAT 6 - 7 am 8 - 9 am 10 - 11 am 2 - 2:30 pm 4 - 4:30 pm 7 - 7:30 pm 9 - 9:30 pm 2 - 2:30 am 4 - 4:30 am The District Delegate Assembly Meeting is the monthly open session meeting of the 23 District Delegates that discuss issues that arise in the districts, reports from management staff and the Master Board of Directors to the delegates. The Master Board of Directors Open Session is the monthly open session of the Master Board meeting held in the Ballroom. The Village Beat features the many clubs and groups in Sun Lakes. Video announcements of their meetings, special events and activities. It also includes a feature called The Entertainers featuring various entertainment available in Sun Lakes, such as music in the Lounge, Ballroom or Veranda, plays, dances, concerts, movies, comedy, etc. If it is entertainment for the whole community, then it will be featured. The Explorer features the Recreation Department's excursions and tours. You will see short video descriptions of the excursions and tours, dates and costs
