How about a few "punny" puns to start the new year with a chuckle: Don't "despare," there's always room to improve. Twelve strikes and you're perfect! Three strikes and you're a turkey. See you at the lanes! Sun Lakers at Canyon Lanes We just finished our 16th week of bowling. We are halfway through the season and two teams are at the top of the standings. In first place is Pin Pounders with: Howard Esterson, Wanda Ranieri, Julie Rogers and Bruce Herwig. In second place is Just Lucky with: Gail Stormes, Marlene Gartman, Larry Stormes and Andy Toro. Season High Scores for the Men are: Ray Roberson with Handicap Series of 784; John Lyons with High Handicap Game of 336; Andy Toro with a High Scratch Series of 749; and Ken Schnabel with a High Scratch Game of 276. We are in the beginning of a new year and there is no better time to take a lesson. Not only will this improve your scores but will improve your confidence. We all need a little help once in a while with our game. A good coach can not only see what we are doing wrong but show us how to fix it. Then we have to work on it until it feels natural. "Winners lose more than losers. They win and lose more than losers because they stay in the game." ~ Terry Paulson
