FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2020 5 2020 District Delegate and Board Elections The 2020 election season has kicked off with the District Delegate Election. This year we have 19 districts in need of a delegate and an alternate. The Delegates play an essential role in the election process. Simply put, if the district they represent fails to turn in the required number of ballots the delegate may vote on behalf of the entire district at the April 30 Annual Meeting. Historically, the Association has met quorum and the delegates have not had to cast votes. However, the Delegate must be at the April 30 meeting to cast the directed votes of their district for the annual election. The upcoming dates pertaining to the District Delegate 2020 Election are as follows: Feb. 19: Delegate Election Ballot Material Sent Feb. 20: Meet the Delegates Q&A Forum March 20: Delegate Election (if quorum reached) March 23: Reconvened Delegate Election (if required) Board Elections There are four Board of Director seats open for the 2020 election. They are doing this by stopping and confronting one another as well as following people to their homes. Please cease doing this immediately. We have cameras at the gates that we can share with the police if a person enters the community and then commits a crime. Sometimes the arms malfunction and don't go down after a vehicle enters and it takes the second vehicle to trip the sensor. Other times the transponder reader picks up the second vehicle and then the arms do not come down. Either way, homeowners should not stop and confront people who are entering the community.
