We play on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays from 7:30 am to noon. We invite anyone that would like to learn how to play Pickleball to come on down the fourth Saturday of the month at 8 am for lessons. We know you will have as much fun as we do. Players of all skill levels welcome! Pickleball We have a few people interested in playing horseshoes. There is a horseshoe league that plays on Wednesday mornings at 8 am at different locations around Hemet. We practice on Saturday mornings at 8 am. The league started in September. Horseshoes Tennis Friends Tennis Friends ended 2019 with the annual Spirit Award presentation and rung in the new year celebrating together at Four Seasons' annual New Year's Eve party. The first tennis Spirit Award was presented in 2012 to Bill Koretke. He and his wife, Bernadette, loved the sport so much that they always brought their tennis racquets with them wherever they traveled. Although he was fighting lung cancer, Bill still managed to play tennis until he passed away in 2010. A fellow tennis player, Sean Murphy, was so moved by Bill's determination and courage to keep playing the sport he loved, he gave Bill a crystal tennis racquet trophy in recognition of Bill's unfailing spirit. After her husband passed away, Bernadette gave the award to the Tennis Club. In honor of Bill's memory, the award is presented annually to a tennis player who exemplifies a love for the sport, sportsmanship and camaraderie with their fellow tennis players. Each year, all the prior recipients, Bernadette and dozens of their Tennis Friends gather for a special potluck dinner to announce the new recipients of this special tennis award. Ricky and Lorraine Cheung, an avid tennis playing couple, are the 2019 recipients. Accomplished tennis players, they are known for their competitiveness, love for the game, and willingness to lend a helping hand on and off the court. A lefty, Lorraine's blistering forehand cross court shot keeps her fellow players on their toes, while Ricky's powerful serve, slice backhand and solid volleys are weapons on the court. Lorraine is noted as the "unofficial" social director for Tennis Friends, always organizing and encouraging everyone to celebrate birthdays and attend the array of social activities at Four Seasons. Players of all levels are encouraged to come out to the courts and join in the fun with Tennis Friends. Winter schedule: Women's begin at 9 am, Monday and Friday; Men's begins at 8:30 am, Tuesday and Thursday; Mixed-up doubles begins at 8:30 am, Saturday. Avid tennis players, Tennis Friends couldn't leave the racquet at home when they gathered to celebrate New Year's Eve at the Lodge Surrounded by her fellow women tennis players, Lorraine Cheung, as the 2019 recipient, holds the Tennis Spirit Award Ricky Cheung, displays the 2019 Tennis Spirit Award he and his wife, Lorraine, received
