34 | OHCC LIVING | FEBRUARY 2020 | Happy Valentines Day! Our Do Dues Day was a terrific success. We had over 70 previous year members sign up again for 2020 and 37 new members added. It is not too late to sign up for 2020. We hope others will sign up at the front desk with your check for $5 to also join the Ocean Hills Sr. Fitness Club. Please include your email address and phone number on your check. Most of the new members said they heard about our classes from friends and neighbors who were members, or the OHCC Living magazine articles. Many thanks for the members that passed the word. You have probably made that new member a little bit healthier. The Chair Yoga class will usually be held in the Abravanel Hall every Monday and Wednesday at 11:15 am (no mats). Please come by 11 am to sign up. The cost is only $5 for each class attended. The Chair-to-Mat class will usually be held in the Mykonos room every Tuesday at 8 am (bring mat and towel). The Tuesday class is free because the professional instructor is an OHCC resident. You need to be a member of the Senior Fitness Club to attend either class. Check us out on the Ocean Hills website under clubs. Senior Fitness Club Tai Chi Hello Tai Chi friends… Please check the weekly Clubhouse schedule before coming to class as the regular room may be changed due to the demand for the rooms by the Clubhouse. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding. God bless! ~ Lai Mei Calorie Free Happy Hour Low to no impact aerobics – NO JUMPING! We meet Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 to 11 am (weights from 10:50 to 11 am) with instructor Christine Alisiani. The cost is $5 per class attended. (You can pay for and try out two classes without joining the club.) The annual dues are $6. (Please make check payable to OH Aerobics.) Aerobics Ladies and gents, come join this FREE exercise class. We follow along DVD presentations by certified instructor Anne Burnell. This workout program is designed to help us seniors develop strength, stability and balance while seated in chairs. We meet twice a week at 9 am, Wednesdays in the Hall or Mykonos Room and on Fridays at 9 am in the Mykonos Room. Please check the weekly schedule to see which room it is in. Please bring one weight. Stretch & Balance Morning exercise An exercise class is held on Mondays and Fridays, 8 to 9 am in Abravanel Hall. Attendees bring a floor mat and light hand weights for this moderate head-to-toe workout. June Cooper has led this class for many years and does a wonderful job! Come join us! It is free.
