50 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MARCH 2020 | Lady Executive Golf Welcome to Lady Executive Golfers (LEGS)! We are a 9-hole club on the Executive Course. We play weekly on Tuesday mornings with mixed play, fun scrambles and a monthly tournament. In addition, we participate with other clubs for 18-hole tournaments and "away games" a few times during the year. Beginning Oct. 1, we will meet at 8:30 am with a tee time at 9 am. The third Tuesday of each month is our monthly meeting and lunch ($10) at the South Clubhouse. Guests welcome! For lunch information, call Doreen Bryant, (909) 595-1974. We emphasize fun and socializing while striving to improve our game and become more familiar with the Rules of Golf. Join us! Lady Niners The Lady Niners enjoyed their breakfast in February, and now look forward to some good weather and fun times. On March 5 we will have our regular first Thursday with our General Meeting followed by our usual Shotgun/Scramble. Then on the 12th and the 19th we will enjoy our usual rounds of golf. On the 26th we will enjoy a fun game of Scotch Doubles. We have a Member/Guest Tournament coming up in April, so plan ahead on who you will have as your guest. Lady Niners enjoy a round of 9 holes of golf each Thursday. For those members who wish to carry a GHIN handicap, you can do that. We vie for differing awards such as a monthly cup and a club championship. She will be happy to answer any of your questions and help you get started. Women's Golf With the temperature of 28 last night, it is hard to imagine that spring is indeed on its way. However, we will be patient with Mother Nature as she seemingly takes her time. Let's talk about March and what the SLWGC has planned for its members… Oh, by the way, we have a new member, Karla Mason. We welcome her as our newest member. Now back to March. March schedule begins with a 9 am shotgun start (Leprechaun Ball), followed by a wonderful lunch consisting of chicken Alfredo, dinner salad, garlic bread, and a cookie… YUM. We will then have our monthly general meeting. The remainder of the month offers "Open Golf," one of the open golf Thursdays being "Pick Your Foursome." The rest of the golf year will be much busier, with more organized games and tournaments, Buddy/Buddy and the Eclectic tournament, to name a couple. We have something for everyone. For those who are still employed or have other obligations on Thursday, we offer Saturday play on the first Saturday of each month. "Friendly Fours" is the game for March. So, get ready!
