| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MARCH 2020 | 21 The information contained in the monthly Lifestyles Magazine comes from many sources and you can be one of those sources. A list of Club activities is one thing, but pictures of your Sun Lakes neighbors enjoying themselves at an event serve to enhance the experience and encourage attendance. There are 13 Advisory Committees here serving residents in a variety of ways. These Committees work hard and volunteer their own personal time to keep our village beautiful, safe and vibrant. The Sun Lakes website offers general information about these Committees such as the charter and minutes of meetings. Some of the Committees contribute to the Lifestyles Magazine by writing a monthly article. It is important for residents to know what is happening within these Committee meetings so we can thank them for their hard work on our behalf and so we can be informed. We therefore encourage all Committees to consider writing an article for the magazine including highlights of the meetings and perhaps some tips on safety or beautification, how decisions are made, or how Sun Lakes is marketed both to residents and potential buyers. A section of the magazine is devoted to Committee reports and we hope to see those pages filled with news from each Advisory Committee. Lifestyles Advisory Library Advisory Mention Lifestyles at the book sale and take advantage of our special "buck a bag" special offer for Lifestyles readers! Our volunteer appreciation luncheon will be held again this year in the South Clubhouse on April 7 at noon. If you are affiliated with the library and don't receive an invitation in March or are interested in volunteering in one of our libraries, please RSVP to (909) 973- 3143 prior to April 1. Upcoming Book Sales: July 4 & Nov. 1 (or 2nd Friday then the following Saturday. golf Advisory From the tee box: A new year with two beautiful golf courses for golfers. The courses are for golfers only, not for walking animals or for just walking. Use other areas of our community for those activities. There are also several key issues for golfers to remember and practice. First and foremost is that you must check in at the pro shops prior to going out on the courses. Second, there is a dress code for golfers and it must be followed. The yellow flag system is operating but we have some keeping the flags on their carts. The flag is for the round of golf only, please return it at the end of the round. Thanks! This is the season for excessive droppings on the courses from our duck visitors. Please take your golf shoes off before entering the Main Clubhouse. Even the shoes with low profile or preformed cleats do pick up the droppings and they may come off on flooring when you walk in the door. If you are new to Sun Lakes and do not play golf, we invite you to sign up in the Pro Shop for a tour of the courses. We encourage all residents to view the course. See you on the green!
