GENERAL
MANAGER'S
MESSAGE
By Anna Machado
Is it really March already? Wow, this year sure
is off to a quick start!
Thank you all for your patience while the
office staff members have been getting settled into their new roles. We
have already begun working really well together and I am confident that
as we continue to get everyone trained up, you will reap the rewards
of having an amazing team here to serve you. However, in the event
that you ever experience any hiccups in service from any staff member,
please do let me know so I can counsel them accordingly and help
provide resolution to any problems.
Something really great that has come out of having a brand new team
assembled in the office is that I've been spending a substantial amount
of time in the training trenches these last few months. I say that's
"great" because it has been an unique opportunity to reset the "norm"
and recreate a few rickety wheels around here. It has also forced me to
unchain myself from my desk a bit and I've been spending a lot more
time out in the facilities and the community spot checking my staff. My
team and I have been fine tuning some internal processes so we can take
a more proactive approach to the maintenance of the facilities as well as
the overall operation of this wonderful community.
I am so happy to report that the Coffee with the GM sessions seem to
be gaining popularity lately and I'm just thrilled that so many residents
find them informative and worth their time. If you haven't been to
one yet, please join me on March 5 at 2 pm in the Ballroom. Based on
feedback from prior attendees, I'll be switching up the times throughout
the year to better accommodate a variety of schedules.
I'll leave you with this: A good friend is like a four-leaf clover: hard
to find and lucky to have! I'm so thankful for all my new friends here at
SDV. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
