22 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | APRIL 2020 | Recreation Advisory The Recreation Advisory Committee (RAC) was formed for the purpose of advising and making recommendations to the Master Board on matters pertaining to the recreational activities of the community. The advisory committee is a standing committee. The committee presents a report of the RAC activities at the Master Board open session each month. The RAC, with the Recreation Director, advises the Master Board on the promotion and evaluation of recreational activities. Responsibilities of the RAC include: help at all special events; listen to the recommendations and concerns of residents and, when appropriate, report to the full committee and staff; advise the Master Board on applications from potential new clubs and groups; and facilitate inter-group and inter-club communication and cooperation. We propose policies to the Master Board related to the use of facilities. Each member of the RAC serves for a two year term. Watch your Lifestyles magazine for all of the recreational events. We have never written a report for our committee so as time goes by we will let you know more about us. We meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 2 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. Observers are welcome. Elise Campbell is the Recreation Director, Patricia Elevi is the Chair, and Jerri Wall is the Vice Chair. April showers bring May flowers. This April, let the Restaurant, Lounge and Sandwedge shower you with delicious food, delightful service and exciting new items for your enjoyment. Check out our new dinner menu in the Restaurant, which was introduced the first week of March. Not only does it include your house favorites for only $10.95, it also offers a selection of small plates – back by request! Plus, each month look for the bonus menu insert featuring dishes that are being offered just that month. These will be served throughout the month, then replaced with a whole new selection the following month. We have also introduced the NEW Sunday All-Day menu. It has your favorite selections of breakfast and lunch and yes – it runs all day! Want bacon and eggs at 2 pm? You got it! How about a hamburger and fries at 8 am? No problem! So come on in and enjoy breakfast or lunch all day every Sunday. The Restaurant and Sandwedge are open on Sundays from 8 am to 3 pm. And of course, April wouldn't be complete without the Easter Brunch on Sun., April 12. The Brunch runs from 10 am to 2 pm and is packed with a wealth of delectable treats. Check out the menu on the Restaurant page of this magazine, and make your reservations today. Sure to be sold out, this is one brunch you won't want to miss! Restaurant & Lounge Advisory The Safety Advisory Committee meets on the fourth Monday of the month at 1:30 pm in the Administration Conference Room. This committee operates in an advisory capacity to the Master Board. We may make recommendations and we may receive assignments from the Master Board on a variety of related topics. The committee may also receive comments and recommendations from residents asking for an opinion or requests for additional stop signs, "bot dots" or such. Residents are welcome to attend as an observer. If there happen to be hearings for parking or other violations, visitors will be excused from the remaining meeting. The Board has not finalized rules for speeding, stop signs or responsibility for visitor's violations. PLEASE - watch your speed, come to a complete stop at all stop signs, watch for golf carts and pedestrians. Country Club Drive is not a race track - slow down! I have noticed the speed monitor in several different locations recently - let it be a reminder. Safety Advisory REMINDER: NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL CAN BE BROUGHT INTO MAIN CLUBHOUSE
