50 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | APRIL 2020 | Lady Executive Golf Welcome to Lady Executive Golfers (LEGS)! We are a 9-hole club on the Executive Course. We play weekly on Tuesday mornings with mixed play, fun scrambles and a monthly tournament. In addition, we participate with other clubs for 18-hole tournaments and "away games" a few times during the year. Beginning Oct. 1, we meet at 8:30 am with a tee time at 9 am. The third Tuesday of each month is our monthly meeting and lunch ($10) at the South Clubhouse. Guests welcome! For lunch information, call Doreen Bryant, (909) 595-1974. We emphasize fun and socializing while striving to improve our game and become more familiar with the Rules of Golf. Join us! Lady Niners Lady Niners are enjoying the beautiful weather we have had throughout February and March. As we prepare for our Member/ Guest Tournament on Thurs., April 23, we hope the weather continues to be favorable. This tournament is always lots of fun. It starts with nine holes of putting and finishes with nine holes of golf. Be sure to get your "guest" partner early so you are not left out. The morning of golf is followed by a luncheon in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. Lady Niners enjoy the opportunity of playing nine holes of golf each Thursday on a championship golf course. Some of the members maintain a GHIN handicap which gives us the opportunity to play in golfing events throughout the country. Each month we enjoy a scramble, a "cup" day, a fun round and regular rounds of golf. Our general meeting is held on the first Thursday of the month in the main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room at 10:30 am. Don't miss out on the opportunity to get out and enjoy the fresh air and the new friends. Golf is a great way to enjoy life! Women's Golf If you have been looking forward to sunny weather… it is finally here. If you are wanting to enjoy golf on a beautiful, newly landscaped golf course… it's the Championship course at Sun Lakes Country Club. If you are looking for a ladies club to join, with many special tournaments and games… it's SLWGC. If you want to develop lasting friendships, SLWGC is indeed the place. We have 12 new members since January 2020, and we would love to add you to that list. I am excited when I look at the golf calendar for April and throughout the entire summer for that matter. This is the start of our busy calendar of tournaments and games through the golf season for this year. In April, the major tournament is the Buddy/Buddy tournament on the 9th and the 16th, followed by the very popular and my favorite tournament, the Eclectic, on May 14, 21, and 28. The year is packed full of challenging and fun tournaments. If golf is your game, the SLWGC is your place.
