20 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | April 2020 | "With each sunrise we are given a chance for a new beginning!" 90+ Birthday Celebration Wow and outstanding … just a few adjectives to describe our annual 90+ Birthday Party delivered by our Team Sunshine members. Trish Moorhouse once again created and orchestrated this exciting event with the help of the willing hands of Team Sunshine members. We are so privileged to honor these folks! We also honor the longevity of one very special 101+ resident, Ms. Sally Munoz (left). She is an amazing woman! A willing smile greets us and her spirit is unshakable. What a joy to be able to recognize her many years. What a crowning example of living a life to its fullest. Sally is one amazing lady. Antoinette Lopez (right), another 90+ year-old, could not attend the festivities but was honored with deliveries to her home. The Team Sunshine Trio of Leola Kindt, Candace Hawley and Sharon Sims entertained with songs that brought back memories to our honorees. Sharon Uhlken took us on a journey of events our 90+ folks have witnessed with added musical queues from each decade. Sharon and Sandy St. John also had the very fun task of interviewing our honored guests who provided a few chuckles and interesting insights into their recipe for longevity. Guide Dogs of the Desert couldn't be with us this year; however, Waggedy Ann accompanied by Char Weakley and therapy dog in training, Duncan, filled in. Char is a former Guide Dog of the Desert Trainer. Brenda Beers is a Co-Chair of Team Sunshine and is very proud of her Duncan. Delighted by the melodies from Bev Polito, our recipients were reminded of those golden tunes of yesteryears. Addis Scott (Big Red the Clown) mesmerized the special birthday folks with balloon art. He has been a yearly delight at our 90+ birthday celebrations and we are so delighted he could join us again. Thank you, Big Red, for all the fun you dispense. We are not including our usual Team Sunshine information this month as we are riding high on the glow of this wonderful birthday celebration.
