12 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | April 2020 | Who can believe we are in the second quarter of the year already, geez! I still have two neglected Christmas ornaments that need to get reacquainted with the other boxes of ornaments that are already packed away. We had the good fortune of several applicants wanting to join the Bistro Committee; so by the next Herald, we hope to have completed the interviewing process and also have received their acceptance to the Bistro Committee from the Board of Directors. We take the grievance about the loud music and tipping mess on Friday buffet night (Feb. 28) very seriously. We have drawn up an agreement that any group playing music must sign and comply to: From 5 to 6:30 pm: either NO music or very soft dinner music, no going to tables soliciting for tips (use the tip jar by the band only), tip glasses on the tables are for the food servers only, and tips are not included in the $12 price. The band and guests must be out of the Ballroom by 8:45 pm, out of The Lodge, before 9 pm). On Friday April 24, I believe that "Guitar & Melodies" will be playing again, with promise of soft music, watch for a blast notice. We seem to have some problems with dinner reservations, (Ballroom & Bistro) people not showing up on time, while guests are waiting for seats and looking at empty reserved tables. It's been suggested to stop taking reservations or loss of reservation, if all people aren't there on time. I hope it doesn't need to come to that. Please, all show up on time if you have reserved tables. Also be aware, outside guests are not allowed to use the Bistro (or any of our facilities) unless accompanied by a resident. Example, Bingo Wednesday is open to outside Bingo players, but not the Bistro, unless seated with a resident. It's not fair that they get to eat while the residents can't get a table. Rules can be difficult to police and sometimes hard to keep abreast of, so your concerted effort to comply, be informed and share this information is deeply appreciated. April 12 would be our normal Sunday Brunch but, as it is Easter Sunday, Francisco will be doing his wonderful Easter Brunch instead. Watch for his menu and reservation time slots in the blast. To gratify an inquiry, Francisco is content, and has accepted next year's contract with no immediate thoughts for retirement. That goes to show, "if we all work together – we can all work happy." The "Bistro's Sunday Brunch for Two" winner is Cheryl Dewberry, her lucky ticket was drawn by Hemet Four Season's Manager, Rick Ruth at the February Board meeting.
