| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | April 2020 | 23 March may have roared in like a lion, but April will take over as the lamb we are all waiting for. The much anticipated rain finally came, aiding in our enjoyment of the Desert Bloom, and we all learned a lot from Master Gardener, Katherine Botts, in our March meeting. Surrounded by spades, rakes, clippers, and bags of potting soil, we are now ready to get into Spring planting! There will be no regular monthly meeting in April. Instead, we will be visiting The Huntington Library, Art Museum & Botanical Gardens in San Marino, (just south of Pasadena) on Thursday, April 16th. All Four Seasons residents are welcome to join us on this fun-filled day. The Docent- led Estate Tour is $34, payable in advance, and includes the ($25) admission fee to the Huntington. Lunch will be on our own, at a choice of three restaurants, within the Estate: 1919 Café, Freshwater Dumpling & Noodle House or the Rose Garden Tea Room. (Only the Tea Room requires advance reservations and is $47/person.) For more information about The Huntington, please visit https:// www.huntington.org/tours. Reservations are required for this trip. Please RSVP to Sharon Deuber (760) 500- 0077 by April 2 if interested in joining us. On April 16 at 7:45 am, we will meet in the small SW parking lot adjacent to The Lodge, planning to leave at 8 am. We will also be contributing $10 for gas to our carpool drivers. There is limited seating for lunch in the Rose Garden Tea Room. If interested, please include in your RSVP, and be prepared to pay $81 by April 2. With the exception of April, Late Bloomers meets the second Monday of every month at 1 pm in the Arts & Crafts Room. All Four Seasons residents are welcome to attend both meetings and excursions.
