| OHCC LIVING | APRIL 2020 | 27 The construction that blooms in the spring (tra-la!) will be making our Sewing Room unavailable this month… what to do? What to do? Those of you who took the "Disappearing 9-patch" classes in February can continue working at home on your projects so that in June, our "binding refresher" class will help you finish your quilt. Those of you who took the Holiday Stocking class in March can keep plugging along, as winter will be here in a flash. During the closure, our knitters and crocheters (better known as the "kneedlers and hookers"), can be humming along making blankets and hats for the NICU at Tri-Cities; others can be constructing cradle quilts for the holiday cradles made every year by our wonderful Woodchucks! So you see – there is a lot to work on! Also during this month – since friendship is the best part of this group – on our normal evenings and afternoons we will be rotating between each other's homes, so that the laughter and bad jokes can continue to flow freely! If you are interested in being a part of this "floating party," all you have to provide is space for us to visit and do hand "work"… no snacks or spotless houses require… we are together to visit and share friendship… with a bit of sewing, knitting, or crocheting along the way. If anyone would like to participate in our activities and is not sure of who to reach out to during this confusing month, please call Chris Sanderson (858) 442-1834, MaryLu Belisle (562) 454-1931, or Sharon Philippe (760) 500-3086 for more information. Also, please visit our website, lovingly updated by Terri Eckhardt, http://ohccsewing.wixsite. com/ohccsewing. All are welcome to join us. Dues are $7 per year. Our meetings are held at 9:30 am in the morning on the first Thursday of each month… we look forward to seeing you! Sewing, Etc. Silversmiths This is one of our first fabricated projects this year. Casting information is always available, but the actual casting of metal takes place on the first and third Wednesdays, there is always assistance available.
