Last month we had a fun and memorable meeting as we were
treated to a showing of photos from our field trip to Safari Park. We
all picked up lots of tips from the photographers as they discussed
how and why they chose a particular shot and what settings they
used to get the fabulous photos. We were blessed with perfect
weather for the field trip so the photo shoot was sure to be a success
and it certainly was. We are always a little amazed at the talent shown
by our members, from experienced photographers with great camera
equipment to the novice and not so novice shooting with their point
and shoot and/or smart phone. Good job everyone! If you haven't
joined our club now this would be a great time to do so. Sign up at
the front desk, only $8 for the year!
Joe Ashby, a longtime member of our club and frequent traveler,
shared his photo experiences from a recent photo safari trip in Kenya
and Tanzania Africa. Yes, there will be animals, but Joe will also give
us glimpses into many other aspects of being in places few people
have an opportunity to see and photograph (the photos are of a
proud pride of lions and a young Maasai hunter/herdsman), just a
sample of the wonderful photos Joe will be sharing with us at the
meeting. You don't want to miss this great collection so come a little
early so you are sure to get a seat. As most of you know our meeting
room has been cut down in size to allow for a path from the parking
lot into the clubhouse during the renovation.
