4 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | May 2020 | General Manager's Message By Rick Ruth, CMCA A Summer of Uncertainty Our community as well as our surroundings have greatly been impacted by the COVID-19 virus. Over the last three months, many changes have taken place and we have spent more time "at home" than ever before. We are not certain of the future and having to submit articles three weeks early makes this more challenging in what I write to you about. So, what's been going on? • The management staff have been assisting residents in their needs for permits, RFID tags and answering many questions regarding the virus and what they can do. • The Board of Directors has held several emergency meetings to keep abreast of the county mandates and are taking appropriate measures to keep residents safe. • The janitorial staff and management have cleaned and sanitized The Lodge fixtures, steam cleaned the carpets and are constantly wiping down anything that might be touched. • E-blasts have gone out to inform residents of the latest mandates and to provide factual information from various agencies. • Our Activities Director, has combined her efforts with the Sunshine Team to put on fun events (staying within the social distancing guidelines). • Speaking of your awesome Sunshine Team, thank you for stepping up to help residents! Delivering take-out food, offering curbside conversations, assisting with mask distributions for residents and to the seamstresses that answered the call to help to keep everyone covered! Thank you for always being there for residents in their time of need. You are spreading much needed "sunshine!" • Thanks also go out to the Emergency Preparedness volunteers and Auxiliaries for always being available and offering assistance to residents to get online deliveries. • Since The Lodge has been closed, our handyman has been busy re-painting many of the rooms, hallways and giving the interior a brand new look. • The Pool Remodel project is complete. The pool deck re- surfacing was completed and what a difference! When it re-opens, you'll be amazed. With the landscaping recently completed and new furniture, it really looks awesome. • The BBQ floor and the front entry is also complete, giving those areas a "fresh" look. There are other projects in the works and the Facilities Committee will hopefully be back soon getting those off the ground. • The asphalt project. Yes, we haven't forgotten about it. We have been in communication with Titan. If the virus quarantine gets lifted this month, we can begin making the corrections. As always, we will send out e-blast notices and give you as much notice as possible. What about the Annual Meeting? Due to the health officer's mandates, the April 22 membership meeting was re-scheduled to May 27. Notices were mailed by the April 28 deadline to mail the ballots. Due to the quarantine being extended to April 30, and as of this writing, we do not know if a "Meet the Candidates" night will be scheduled. The Board of Directors may postpone the annual meeting to June if the quarantine extends into May. We will keep you informed via email. Summer Pool Monitoring: If the quarantine is lifted by May 22, pool monitoring will begin and continue daily through Labor Day. Southwest Security will be on duty from noon to 5 pm checking in guests and monitoring pool rule compliance. Residents, please make sure your guests are aware of and comply with the pool rules. Keeping you informed: Folks, if you are not receiving our emails, PLEASE SIGN UP! If nothing else, this historical time has made all of us aware of the importance of keeping up electronically with current events and issues that affect you as a Four Seasons resident. Lastly, on this upcoming Memorial Day, let us all pause to remember the sacrifices that our veterans have made. To all of our resident veterans, we want to say "thank you for your service!" We owe all of our military a huge debt of gratitude for their service, especially the fallen soldiers, for our country's freedom. Hopefully soon, we can go back to giving out handshakes and hugs. I miss giving and receiving them! May you and your family have a safe and peaceful Memorial Day!
