24 | OHCC LIVING | JUNE 2020 | Papercrafting Club With the Clubhouse closed due to the coronavirus, the PaperCrafting groups have gotten creative to keep our members engaged. Jeannie Martinsen put out a challenge to her group to find a card on YouTube they liked. The class was then challenged to make a version of their own using the same technique. Sandy Miller created a beautiful card using a technique called Recessed Angles. Jeannie challenged the group to create a colorful background "smooching" watercolor onto their paper. They continue this challenge each week finding new techniques to practice. The TOTES (Think Outside the Envelope) group decided to give Zoom a try. They met online several times to test not only their papercrafting skill, but their computer technology skills as well. Lorraine Kleenman demonstrated the art of creating beautiful envelopes with a small group of lades. Rhonda Anchales showed another group how to make a Tag Book into a greeting card and pointed out to the group, "This is a great way to use scraps from your stash." Karin Barnes demonstrated a new technique for making rolled flowers as her group followed along creating beautiful roses and Spider Mums. It has sometimes been a challenge, but to be able to at least stay connected with one another brightens our day. Stay safe everyone… we will get through this. Stained Glass Learn the copper foil method of creating beautiful stained glass projects. A beginner's class has started for those of you who are interested.
