As we begin June, we are reminded that the flower representing this month is the Rose. During May, we saw our community come alive with many roses blooming almost everywhere we looked. A pink rose means perfect happiness. A red rose means "I love you." A white rose signifies innocence and purity. The Rose is truly our flower! This message is being written at a time when Four Seasons residents are growing restless. We want to get out of our houses and begin to enjoy our amenities, socialize with neighbors, visit our families and grandkids, take a trip (anywhere will do!), go to a restaurant, etc. Our residents want to know: When can we play tennis, pickleball, shuffleboard, and bocce? When can we use our pool? When will The Lodge open? When will clubs and committees reconvene? Your Board of Directors has a responsibility to do what is safest and best for all our residents. Four Seasons is an older community, and we have to balance the COVID-19 health issues with the desire to open up activities. We will continue to abide by Riverside County's guidelines. The health and welfare of residents are most important. The Board's plan is to gradually re-open activities and The Lodge when we can minimize risk. This means establishing rules and procedures that will ensure safety and benefit all of us. Examples would be cleaning and disinfecting procedures, maintaining safe distances, avoiding large groups, etc. We hope that the election of the 2020/2021 Board members will have been completed by the time you read this message and that the first open Board meeting, done by electronic means, will have been successful. In closing, thank you to the Sunshine Team for providing protective masks for our residents. Members worked with Four Seasons Management Staff (in particular, Tracie Rodgers) to communicate the availability of the masks and actually delivered many of them directly to people's homes. Here's hoping when you read this, we have "turned the corner," and all of our lives are returning to a somewhat normal existence. Stay safe! Message from the Board of Directors 2 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | June 2020 | Sincerely, and on behalf of your Board of Directors, Jim Hatcher, Tony Criscenti, Gene Hikel, Ken Pounders, Cliff Post, and Greg Rockvam Jim Crase Vice-President
